Campaigning At A Social Distance
March 13, 2020
Friends & neighbors,
Did we ever think we would live in such times? Now, more than ever, we need a strong community, we need to come together. The weeks and months in front of us are going to be tough, but the toughest part, I think, is that we can’t shake hands. Give hugs. Gather and watch sports. And yes, have campaign fundraisers and rallies. We have to unite, but we also have to practice ‘social distancing.’
Effective today, our campaign will be cancelling all planned public events through at least April 15th. We had also planned to begin doorbelling next week, but just feel that’s not appropriate now, and will wait until later in the Spring.
Don’t worry, we will be active. I am working on a lot of issues, and we’re getting ready to seek your opinions on important issues, as well as roll out some new ideas to get Thurston moving again. Follow us on Facebook and on the website, and don’t forget, we also need to fundraise - www.steadmanforthurstoncounty.com
I am going to go wash my hands. See you soon.
